Kyra Minturn
Kyraminturn Sedgwick was conceived on August 19 1965. She is an American producer and actress. She is most famous for her character as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson in the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick earned a Golden Globe Award in 2007 for her performance as Johnson and an Emmy Award 2010 for her portrayal. The series ended following its seventh season. Sedgwick is also known for her part in Brooklyn Nine-Nine, playing Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick won the Golden Globe Award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film roles include Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July (1989), Cameron Crowe's Solos (1992), Heart and Souls (93), Phenomenon (2000), What's Cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). She also starred in The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was an New York City native, the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald) who was an educator and family therapist as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick VI, an investor in venture capital. Her mother was Jewish was of English and Episcopalian heritage. Sedgwick has stated that she is Jewish and has said she is a part of Passover seders.
